Overview

Furano Ski Resort is nestled in the heart of Hokkaido, Japan, and is part of the stunning Daisetsuzan National Park. Covering an expansive 194 hectares of skiable terrain, this resort is famed for its exceptional dry continental climate, contributing to frequent snowfall and remarkable powder skiing conditions. With a towering summit elevation of approximately 1,075 meters and a vertical drop of about 840 meters, Furano provides an exhilarating experience for ski enthusiasts. The resort features 28 diverse trails that stretch over 26 kilometers in total, all supported by an efficient network of 11 lifts including gondolas, quad chairs, double chairs, and surface lifts.

Families will find an ideal environment here, thanks to designated beginner areas conveniently located at the mountain's base, as well as English-speaking ski instructors available for those new to the sport. The resort also boasts Furano Snow Land, a specially designed area that offers exciting activities such as snow rafting, banana boat rides, snowmobiling, sledding, and snowshoeing, ensuring fun-filled days for all ages. Guests can enjoy the luxury of ski-in/ski-out accommodations, along with easy access to various resort amenities, allowing minimal effort when transitioning from breakfast to the slopes, particularly beneficial for families with children or varying skiing abilities.

Furano stands out for those seeking a sophisticated alpine adventure, where consistent snow quality, a modern lift system, and a calm atmosphere prevail over the hustle and bustle found in larger, more crowded Japanese resorts. The blend of authentic local culture, breathtaking scenery, and a compact, easily navigable layout makes Furano an excellent destination for skiers looking to enjoy both the majestic landscape and a touch of tranquility.
